Explanation for Seeding to WYYC from China and Hong Kong (with Macau)

China (Mainland)

China Yo-Yo Corporation Championship 2014

  • Organized by CYCC Committee (A group from the original CYCC group and CNYC group)
  • Seeded to WYYC2015 (Tokyo)

Everyone from Mainland China and Hong Kong (with Macau) can compete, but only Mainland China players can get seeds. (We will reconstruct the official rankings with only Mainland players afterward)

 

 

Hong Kong (with Macau)

Hong Kong Yo-Yo Contest 2013 (Summer)

  • Organized by HKYYFC
  • Seeded to WYYC2014 (Prague)
  • Everyone from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau can compete, but only Hong Kong and Macau players can get seeds. (We will reconstruct the official rankings with only Hong Kong and Macau players)
  • We will distinguish players by whether or not they possess their own Hong Kong Identity Card / Macau Resident Identity Card (香港身份證/澳門居民身份證).

Hong Kong Yo-Yo Contest 2014 (Summer)

  • Organized by HKYYFC
  • It will not have seeds to the World Yo-Yo Contest.
  • Open to Mainland, Hong Kong and Macau residents/citizens for competing.

Hong Kong Yo-Yo Selection Contest (HKYYSC) 2015 (Spring)

  • Organized by Hong Kong Yo-Yo Selection Contest Committee (世界搖搖大賽(香港區選拔賽)籌委員會) (A group comprised of HKYYFC and HereWeYo!)
  • Seeded to WYYC2015 (Tokyo)
  • Only Hong Kong and Macau residents who possess their own Hong Kong Identity Card / Macau Resident Identity Card can compete and get seeds. All seeded players from HKYYSC will represent Hong Kong for the WYYC (see the reasons below).

Reason:

  1. The Hong Kong yo-yo community is well developed and has existed for over a decade.
  2. The Macau yo-yo community is still under development.
  3. Macau has never had its own seeding rights for WYYC before.
  4. We would suggest separating the Hong Kong and Macau national contest into two separate national contests, and therefore awarding each their appropriate seeds, when Macau has enough yo-yo players in their community to be able to apply for seeding rights from IYYF in the future.

Taiwan

Taiwan Yo-Yo Contest 2013

  • Organized by TWYF
  • Seeded to WYYC14 (Prague)
  • Only Taiwanese citizens and residents are allowed to compete.
  • If you are a Taiwanese citizen but are living in Mainland China, you may choose to compete at CYCC or TWYC (not both) for a seed.
